Job Description

Title: Container Sales Marketing Support

Basic Role: Responsible for business intelligence and market analysis, provide market info, monitor competitors figures to Sales manager in order she/he can promptly adjust commercial proposals to customers.

Reporting to: General Manager

Main Tasks

Collaborate closely with key stakeholders inclusive of Grimaldi Line Management, Grimaldi Customer Service, Overseas commercial depts and ACL sales team to maximize the flow of information and marketing opportunities.

  • Make surethat customer solutions are fully scoped, with robust pre-and post-sales engagements.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market by keeping up to date with the trade press information, key data sources, statistics, sales leads and quotes.
  • To maintain and update customer records and profiles. Including updating contracts and quotes when rates are negotiated.
  • To deal efficiently and effectively with customer’s problems and enquiries
  • To collect and report information about competition activity.
  • Encourage to build and leverage external network to bring increased awareness about Grimaldi’s global brand and specific capabilities in local markets, with a key focus on our global network and customer support.
  • To project an image of personal professionalism and maintain and protect company’s policies, property, culture, and integrity.

Competencies/Skills

  • Strong MS Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word skills essential
  • Experience of working within a sales role is essential.
  • Travel will be required

Person Specification

  • 3+ yrs experiences in container business
  • Bachelor degree or higher education background
  • Excellent communication skills in Business Chinese and English
  • Experience of working within the shipping industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work as part of a team and alone
  • Ability to prioritize workload with conflicting requests for resources, knowing the difference between important and urgent
