Job Description

Title: Maritime Operation Specialist/海运操作员岗位

Basic Role: Handle vessel operations activities

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Main Tasks

Cooperate with vessels activities including planification and operations (including on site visit and operation monitoring, unloading/loading assistance, terminal/ship coordination).

• Investigation of port rules and restrictions according to commercial targets.
• Guide and supervise the binding and reinforcement of loading vehicles to ensure the safety of cargo transportation as per company standards.
• Communicate and coordinate with overseas team in charge of the long term planification of the vessels, respecting headquarters targets and solving operational issues in accordance.
• Communication with clients about operations of the vessel of their interest.
• Pre-carriage, custom process monitoring.

• Business travel is required

Person Specification

• English communication skills: able to proficiently use English for oral and written communication, including effective communication with crew members, port staff, agents, etc.
• Navigation terminology: familiar with navigation terminology and sea-economy expressions, able to accurately and professionally convey relevant information.
• Understanding the port operation process: understand the terminal processes and relevant regulations, including the processes and regulations for vessel berthing, loading and unloading, cargo customs clearance, and other aspects related to commercial operations.
• Ship management knowledge: possess knowledge and experience in ship management, able to effectively assist crew members to complete relevant tasks, ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the ship.
• Good teamwork skills, able to work closely with crew members, port staff, etc. to complete work tasks together.
• Proficient in office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Flexible, problem-solving mindset: work schedule requires working on board, working all night, frequent business trips, capacity to work under pressure and to quickly and positively react to challenges.
